TRUE FREEDOM | FREE FROM DEATH!

Praise GOD, my chains are broken, and I'm no longer on death row! You can be freed too! You may be thinking that you're not in chains on death row, but you are, and we all have to pay for the wrong we’ve done. We’ve all broken the law and now have to pay up. The punishment for our wrong is death. You may say, “That’s not fair”, but how could you argue with the judge when you’re guilty? God has a moral law, and we all broke that law. Don’t steal, don’t lie, don’t envy, don’t idolize things, don’t use God's name as a curse word, and don’t lust after other people are just some. You've broken the law if you’ve done just one of those things. And no, you can’t say, “Well, I’m a good person, so that makes up for it, right?”… wrong! A murderer doesn’t get to escape the sentencing because he’s done “more good” than the murder. YOU HAVE TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES! We’ve sinned against God and have to face judgment. FORTUNATELY! God loved us so much that he planned for the debt to be paid in full! God sent his son Jesus to live among us; he lived a sinless life and died as a payment for all of our sins. Through his sinless blood shed on the cross, we have now been freed from death. BUT! God says you must put your faith in JESUS! We repent, meaning we turn away from our old sinful lives and trust and follow Jesus. It’s not enough to say you believe he lived or understand that he died on the cross; you must believe and have faith. That means what Jesus says is true, and you actually believe it by living out the words of Jesus. When you put your trust in Jesus, you are free from sin and death and walk in the righteousness of Christ. Say bye to the old you and say hello to the new. Jesus won’t do it for you, you must come to him and receive that gift of freedom.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.”

Romans 6:22 ESV

“and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised… Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

2 Corinthians 5:15, 17

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,”

Ephesians 1:7 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.'

John 3:16-18

'And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. '

1 John 5:11-12
